Fly Fishing Classes
Regardless of your knowledge on fly fishing, the Lambster’s hands-on instruction will properly educate you in a manner in which you will find enjoyable and fun in the process. We offer private or group lessons for clubs, businesses, churches, etc. Our instructional trips, float trips, and trophy trips are to the Toccoa River. We are open year-round, weather permitting.
With Steve’s 30+ years of knowledge on the streams of Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Montana, you’ll learn about your equipment, entomology, reading the water, and pin point accurate casting. We’ll be tying some of Georgia’s well-known flies and some of Steve’s personal patterns — that catch the trout!
You can reach us at 770-382-9696 or by e-mail at steve@georgiaflyguide.com.
Fly Tying Classes
The Lambster also offers in-house fly tying classes for up to seven students at once. Basic flies that are used in Georgia will be taught, as well as one of the Lambster’s customized Wooly Buggers, that catches the biggins! We are located in White, Georgia, six miles off of I-75 north on Hwy. 20 East.

“For years now I’ve wanted to try the other fishing; delicate tackle, the graceful curve of the fly line, the quiet sounds of the gentle rushing water while moving down river in a float tube, ducks and geese greeting each other all around me. I highly recommend your class and your guided trip to everyone interested in learning the sport. The classroom instruction was very informative and helped me make the right decision when purchasing gear. I especially enjoyed casting practice on the lawn and the evening about making hand-tied flies. On the day of the trip to the river, your client services were excellent and your instruction enabled everyone to catch trout.” David Miller, Student |
