What to Bring:
This can vary so much from trip to trip that we ask you to discuss this with us when booking your trip. Also if you're bringing your own equipment please let us know at the time of booking.
Here's a few things you should bring on all trips:
- Rod, reel, leaders, tippet and waders (if you want to use your own)
- Camera and film (small camera or disposable)
- Rain jacket (usually a light weight one will do)
- Dark colored hat or cap (keeps the sun out of your eyes so you can see the fish and the fly)
- Sunscreen
- Polarized sunglasses (really helps when looking for fish)
- DARK colored clothing is a must on wade trips!!!
Fishing license
Anglers age 16 and older are required to have a fishing license. For the float trips, a license is required and we can stop on the way to pick yours up. License fees are not included in our guide fee.
Why Choose Georgia Fly Guide?
We will work especially hard to see that you enjoy your day fishing with us. And that you go home with the knowledge, skills and confidence to catch something.
We are prepared to teach the beginner the very basics of fly fishing as well as to assist the accomplished angler in doing what it takes to catch more and bigger fish.
Our trips can be adjusted to your needs and desires. Most full day trips are 8 to 10 hours from time of pickup to time of drop off. If you have special requests make sure you discuss this with the guide prior to the starting your day.
